Where to begin??? This book is terrible!! It's 90% sex, don't get me wrong, I like books with steamy sex but this is just ridiculous. Almost every page is about them having sex or thinking about sex with the other one and after Ace rescues Emmy from being kidnapped, Ace tells her we need to go to the police and she says pull over, I need you, so Ace pulls into a parking lot and they have sex twice...wth??!! That was just stupid it!! Plus Ace tells Emmy he loves her and she's his after only 3 days again...wth???!! Emmy is very whiny and wishy washy, I didn't like her at all. Then there's all the misspelled words, words add or missing from the sentences. Already deleted this one and I won't be reading the others in this series!!Product details

I like sex in my books like most but when that's all there is to a book, it gets tired pretty fast. Not once did Emmy and Ace go on an actual date. Instead, they had sex everywhere imaginable. There was a lot of drama in the book but it was overshadowed by all the sex. There were also a lot of missing words in sentences. Needs a good editing. I'm not planning on reading any more in this series.
I usually love all books by Frankie Love and have absolutely no problem with explicit sex. Having said that, I am glad I read King and McQueen before Ace. The book has a great storyline and plot but without using any spoilers I felt the amount and times of sex in the story were ridiculous and added nothing to it. For the first time in a long time I tried to skip over the sex and enjoyed the rest of the story. Now on to Jack's story.
I liked the story. No cliffhanger so that got an extra star. How old is the author?? She used so much slang and so much cursing, I wanted a red pen to cross them out. I curse myself when needed, but buy a thesaurus or get an editor. There are so many others to use, so many ways to describe ideas, actions etc. FIND AND USE THEM!!
Ace is a bad boy...he owns a casino that provides ALL services...yep, including escorts. Emmy is a cocktail waitress at said casino. She's doing this gig while waiting for her sister to wake from a coma. Ace sees Emmy and the two have insta-lust going on. There's drama w mafia dude, Ace's past and Emmy's sister. The bad guy got his comeuppance but was a bit anticlimactic. Got my HEA. Now onto next book in the series, King.
Ace & Emmy's story remind me a lot of my relationship, of course not as luxuries & no mysterious happenings but the true love between two shattered soul's. The bad boy that meets the not so good but not bad, girl. The way SHE captures his heart with out him LETTING her but happening by what is met to be no matter how hard they both try to fight it or push it away. A truly great romantic read that will keep you on the edge of your seat, your panties wet & your heart racing. Frankie Love definitely knows what she's doing.
Emmy Rose and Ace both have completely screwed-up pasts, and the intensely imbalanced power differential- cocktail waitress vs. casino owner (and she doesn't even have that information for quite a bit)- is only the first obstacle, of like, a jillion, these two have to overcome. Ace is an interesting mix of arrogance and vulnerability. Emmy Rose was so closed off, her breakthrough was completely unexpected, so kudos to the author for that. The author allows both characters to be stubborn, frustrating, and not see plain sense. These two are also bunnies. They go at it anytime, anyplace, anywhere, and probably sometimes when they needed to be doing something else. I noticed a couple of spelling errors/misused words.
This was a pretty good read and my first time reading this author. Ace is a bad boy he owns a casino that provides all kinds of services. Emmy Rose is a cocktail waitress whose sister is in a coma. When these two meet it was instant love. I really liked both of these character's Ace is a hot sexy bad boy and Emmy is closed off and stubborn, frustrating at times she is doing what she has to do and hoping that her sister wakes up from her coma. These two also has a lot of hot sex and they do it often. They also both have messed up past Ace is from a mafia family. And when her sister Janie wakes up all hell broke loose. This book did have a couple of errors in it as this was my first time reading this author. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.
